Over the last two months I've cold approached two girls around my age (today was a high school freshman and I'm a college freshman and it wasn't with dating in mind but same dynamics apply right?) and both times the encounter has been terribly awkward. I seem to be off putting and not very gregarious and the conversations run into a fast end. If I smile it comes off as unnatural and cringey, and I'm unable to converse with strangers without any common context and even then i come off pretty clearly as an autist despite not being one, as one may see with my writing.
