This is a new start for you. Nobody will know you. You can be whoever you want to be, without a question of authenticity or a need to justify a change you made. Play that to your advantage.

Socialize with people and make friends. If you’re uncomfortable and are socially awkward, find a coping mechanism you can use to get you through it until you can settle down.

Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Learn from your mistakes. The best part of college is the relationships you make. Meet and maintain healthy relationships. Get decent grades but hustle life everyday.

Looking at your post history I’m attending a similar size school,and had my orientation a few weeks ago. I had a friend with me , but literally talk to everyone you see. Everyone is in the same boat as you , and want to meet new people.

If it gets awkward dgaf because there’s 100s of other people there to talk to. If you meet cool people and you guys click get their info.

Oh man, I remember college orientation 3 years ago. Some of the best times I had in college and it was before I started. Go out and make as many friends as possible. You won't know anyone and therefore you have a clean slate. Everyone is willing to make friends with each other, put out a good impression.
