So I'm in my final year, year and half, of school. I live in the southeast, going to a public college for engineering. The problem is I'm not sure I will be able to pay for it all. Not the schooling itself, but the things in between (food, gas, electricity, etc). In the past, I foolishly ran up unnecessary debt. However, when I was able to pay for them both back, I wasn't able to because I had a rather costly roommate who couldn't pay his rent. Normally, I would have said tough luck, but considering his late fee would have penalized myself and my other roommate, I forked the bill. He's a good guy, so he's still paying me back, but it still stands that I have debts of my own to pay, and I can't count on his slow payment.

I need a job. Not a great high paying job because I will get one of those once I graduate, but something that will pay the bills. I'm still in school so I need something somewhat flexible. I know that much about myself that I can get a decent job after I graduate, however right now, the terrible paying job I have now doesn't really cover a lot of things. I would look for advancement where I am employed now, but it is terribly boring and would not pay that much more anyway. So I wanted to ask for tips for 1) Where to look for a decently paying, part time job, and 2) Any tips that will increase my odds of getting said jobs. I'm a hard worker, and everyone I've ever worked for has always enjoyed me as a worker and as a person. Now, I need to know where to look.

Edit: I do have a lot of work experience and I have an associate degree. Not much, but hopefully it will get me something.
