Why do I hear girls always complaining when they are around (beta) males, things like:

"I'm cold" and " I'm tired" ....

Whenever I hear a girl complaining to me about that, I always try to shut it down by either ignoring it or responding in a way like "If you were a little taller, I would totally warm you up"

But the question is: why do they do it?
