I recently came across a post in a feminist subredit while doing a search to try to find out what SRS means and it went along the lines of this:

"Does The Term 'Enthusiastic Consent' Ostracize Asexuals?"

Feminist A began the discussion with the idea that simply verbalizing consentual phrases and phrasewords such as "yes" is not enough to constitute consent because patriarchy. She said that only what she called "enthusiastic consent" is legit-sies. Ever mindful of societies underdogs, a heroic feminist B came to the defense of the "Asexual community" members who are apparently being marginalized by that idea because although they consent to sex they are either mostly indifferent or at least not "enthusiastic" about sex so the expression "enthusiastic consent" is totes unfair to them.

Feminist B offered up a solution of switching to the phrase "willing consent," instead of enthusiastic consent, to which Feminist C noted that the words "willing consent" were a bit of a redundancy (apparently she had stayed at a Holiday Inn Express recently).

Feminist B explained that the level of nuance here runs deep. She explained the importance of understanding the difference between "consentfulness" and "consentedmindedness" (the latter phrase being worth up to 128 points in the popular Zanga app "Words with Friends-Without-Benefits."

Feminist A began again explaining that the "enthusiastic" part need not describe one's feelings about sex nor how they actually carry it out, but rather just the action of "enthusiastically consenting" so the Asexuals need not feel marginalized. To which Feminist D entered and stated that she, a sexually active asexual did indeed feel marginalized by the notion of "enthusiastic consent."

Wow. And here I thought indicating desire and permission was a fairly straightforward skill that I had mastered around age 3 or 4.
