If you have a solid LTR and you are rocksolid in your daily life, there is no problem in needing emotional support when someone close to you dies.
Naturally if this happens 3 times a week she will lose respect for you and the LTR is dead.

Try to cry when you're alone if you really feel like you need to. Or when you're with your mother or father. Or when you're with a male friend. Or with a hooker.
Avoid crying in front of girls you're romantically involved with, and if you do, make sure you bounce back and regain frame very very quickly. You're a man. You're allowed to flinch under heavy emotions, you're not allowed to be carried through your emotions.

I have nothing to add. This is probably the most solid advice on men crying that I've ever heard.
