I thought a chick was really into me. She was showing massive IOI's at me the moment we met each other (playful punching, then the day after literally falling into my arms and telling me I smell real good). We studied together the day after for exams (unfortunately with another friend of hers) and wasn't able to close. Next week was exam week and I was studying and couldn't do shit. Week after I ask her out, she now seems reluctant for whatever reason, and eventually ends up bringing her fucking friend on the date. Whatever, next.

Also she had a boyfriend but of course that doesn't matter in the slightest, hypergamy,branch swinging and all.

It's like 2 months later now, and we see each other since we're in the same social circle. A mutual friend of mine has however informed me that she's thinking about branch swinging to...a total fucking billy bob nice guy beta that doesn't lift, and is into total nerd stuff. Why? "He's nice" and "he likes to hug" and "gives me attention". According to all known logic that TRP taught me, I (that was following TRP principles all the way, push pull, cocky funny, kino etc yada yada) should have been the branch she swung to, not the nice guy billy bob beta. So I was completely dumbfounded how that could be true (of course, like I said I nexted her so it's not like I was doing anything with her in the meanwhile, I just couldn't believe it).

The "mutual friend" has however informed me that she apparently has...massive daddy issues. Her father never paid attention to her, never "hugged" her and shit. To this day he hates it (we're both 19 and she's living with her parents) when she brings anybody to her house.

The point of this fucking post is...if a girl has massive daddy issues, could it be that TRP doesn't apply (fully), and you should be a bit less alpha and a bit more beta?
