Hi guys!

So, I and my friend have run into the following situation on the dancefloor a couple of times now: we're on the dance floor having fun, minding our own business and some girls appear next to us. They're giving us some signals (i.e. looking repeatedly over and dancing very close to my friend, to the point where she's almost grinding him). However, when we start talking to them, they are not very responsive and go away after a couple of sentences. Sometimes they reappear after a while and the same thing happens again when we reinitiate conversation.

Now, we are both not exactly descendants from Casanova but when we talk to girls, we try to keep it fun and light-hearted (joking, teasing them etc.). We don't bother them with dull questions about their college major and this kind of shit. Also, the music on the dancefloor isn't too loud in the club where we usually go, so you don't have to yell at the top of your lungs in order to get the message across.

Do you guys may have some insight about what's going on? Should we dance more and talk less with them? Are these girls after some instant validation? Should we even bother trying with them?

Thanks for the answers!
