I live in a hip part of town, and in he last 9 months or so of dating, haven’t ever driven to a date as I can walk to a nice string of bars.

I have the location already picked (5 minute walk for me) and I ask the “how far are you from the waterway?” This allows me to know how far they are from a nearby location, and also myself. It also preps for the invitations. If they say 25 minutes or more I usually terminate.

It's better to try to fuck at your place. Girls prefer that

they can leave if you're being weird
they don't have to clean up their shitty, messy apartment
they can be slutty and noisy without their neighbors finding out
