I soft nexted a girl for a myriad of reasons, one of them being that I acted beta, caving in when I was guilt tripping her and feigning disinterest after she flirts openly with me. I also left a super bitchy, superior attitude unchecked when we went out for drinks because I thought it was hot as hell.

The outcome of this soft next would be dependent on her reaction: keep moving forward or hard nexting. I was starting to head into oneitos territory so it was looking more like a hard next.

Unfortunately we work together- I know it should be avoided but here we are.

So anyhow, day 1 I ignore her. She notices and I can see she knows something is up. Day 2, she's wearing better clothes and approaches me wearily a couple of times with silly questions (I think it was just an excuse made up by her to talk to me). I'm civil but give her nothing. She doesn't seek me out. Day 3 she looks gorgeous and reeks of perfume. Old me would've caved. When I first saw her for the day she very meekly says hello and disappears into her office. I'm about ready to think she's learnt her lesson. I say morning and continue on.

Halfway through the day she comes into my office. I say hello, wanting to finish the soft next and give her a chance. She ignores me greeting and moves to the area of my staff. She's above me but I still supervise other staff. She walks around and says to one of my reports "Oh well you should have been asked to do this by asdgoober1994" when I was in direct earshot. She hangs around a while speaking to other workers and shoots me a few contemptuous looks.

On my lunch break she comes into the lunch room and is aggressively confident with others in conversation. I usually never see this side of her; she is meek, shy and unassuming, usually eating lunch by herself in her office. Not usually out there enough to have an opinion around me. She's told me she had confidence issues in the past but I find it feminine and kinda cute. So obviously this behaviour caught me off guard.

The rest of the day she's been bitchy and more willing to criticise me. This is completely out of character for her. This ones going to be a hard next I think. Anyone know why the sudden bitchy and nasty behaviour? She's acting superior, disrespectful and obnoxious. Need some clarity to tighten my game.
