This is bad. Just let her talk, don't give her advice, and make sure you don't jump into interviewer mode.

Hell a simple "Oh that's really shitty" is fine. Some girls will really want to unload about something so I'll let them talk but I'll be a real ball buster when giving any feedback. I had a coworker complaining about a Canadian guy we work with and towards the end of her rant I just said "Why do you hate Canadians so much?" it shows that you don't really care while showing you were at least somewhat listening.
