And a shit test is an IOI. Classic example of shit testing: hazing. If a frat realizes they gave out some bids to kids who were a bad choice, they're not gonna haze them much because they know they will probably drop him soon. Thus they don't want to bond with the kid or give him any dirt on the frat that could get the frat in trouble. The kids who the frat hopes to initiate? They will get hazed extensively because they trust them and want to see if they have what it takes. Thus if you're pledging a frat and they haze you a lot, it's a sign that they are interested in initiating you. And teasing is all hazing is, just at a more intense level than teasing you're used to sometimes. Teasing - "attempt to provoke (a person or animal) in a playful way." Just because the people doing the hazing might act like it's serious doesn't mean it's not all a big game.

And teasing is a shit test. When your buddy calls you a pussy and laughs at you for buying a Prius, he's obviously teasing you. It's also a shit test, he's trying to determine if you just might actually be a huge pussy after all. All of this subconcious of course.

If you think teasing and shit testing are two completely different things you don't understand shit tests and you're gonna miss a lot of them
