I was with some really blue pill guys today talking. I made a joke about how my girlfriend knows my social security number and bank pin, but my phone password would be crossing the line, that thing is like fort knox.

And this guy replies with not even a slight hesitation "damn you're protective over your phone? that's trust issues right there bro".

This guy is 20, has been dating the same girl since highschool, and an ultra-normie. It does not surprise me that someone like him would tell his phone password to his girlfriend. It did get me thinking though.

Even if my weird subreddits, websites and hobbies weren't in the equation, just my conversations with my bros are private. Like I wouldn't want her or anyone to read a normal ass conversation that I had about music or sports or whatever, that would be so weird. It's not like my "paranoia" is baseless either, I know for a fact that my girlfriend would love to look through my phone if I left it in her car or something. She loves looking through my cabinets in my apartment and is generally pretty nosy. As a nosy person myself I do not fault her for this, but I still am not going to just hand out my passwords to her for no reason.

On the flip side, my girlfriend unlocks her phone in front of me all the time, uses the same 4 digit pin for everything, and leaves her phone on the couch next to me every time she takes a shower. I never look at her messages, I completely do not need or want to know what she is saying about me to her friends. And one day she is going to change her password or start bringing the phone in the bathroom with her and it's going to make me wonder if she is cheating on me. There is nothing that annoys me more than girls trying to run dread game on me and she is kind of setting it up subconsciously with the phone thing.

Any thoughts on this?
