I went to college in a college town and some of the guys who were at the top of the pecking order got so much social validation. Invites to formals, themed parties with a hot date, jobs at the nicest bars [being in a fraternity has a lot of say in that too though], all in all, they know that because of their looks and their demeanor, girls and even guys their age validate them.

Most of these guys had sky high confidence and as a result of having experienced all of this social validation they get mainly based on their looks and personality.

I know that in the adult world, your job title and salary have a say in social validation but I always wonder if being a handsome and confident guy as an adult brings you that level of social validation that these guys are getting. Do opportunities for social validation to that degree exist for high SMV guys after college?
