5'9" isn't so short as to induce pity. It's above average in some countries. You don't have to let it control your life in any way.

At that height you have access to everything. Also I go to a lot of formal events and generally dress elegantly, and more elegant shoes add about two centimetres. I’ve had shorter and taller girls. Couldn’t give a fuck.
