I have a plate from another state that I go exclusive with when she's in town for the summer. When she's gone, we do what we want, when she's here, we do each other. It works.

Months ago, we planned a getaway. Nothing fancy, but it was a few days we'd be 100% alone with no distractions. She just cancelled to spend the weekend with her girl friend's family.

While nothing bad can come of this situation, I was pissed. We planned this time specifically because her friend was going out of town and we'd have her house to ourselves (she stays with her friend while in town).

The old me would have complained while not being able to do anything about it. This time, I encouraged it in the most genuine way I could, then told her I'll just go to a strip club with the guys instead.

I've been lurking and reading books from the sidebar, but I'm still getting my feet wet with experience. Was this the right move to make?
