Was in the process of converting a plate into an LTR - we've been talking about it and circling around the idea for the past month.

About 3 weeks ago, before we had actually settled exclusivity, I ended up matching with one of her friends on a dating app. Had a lot of back and forth banter and were talking details about setting up a date. During this process, I realized the girl was really good friends with my plate so I backed out.

While my plate was over a couple days ago, she mentioned she was going to dinner with her friend, the one I matched with. I assumed they would talk about their dating lives while together and that it would be discovered that I had been pursuing her friend.

So I decided it would be a good idea to clear the air and tell my plate that I had been talking to her friend on a dating app. She was a bit upset but nothing crazy.

As the day went on however, she began to hit me with all sorts of comfort tests and I think I may have lost her trust.

I realize in some ways this was unintentional dread game on my part, but I think it was probably overkill.

Did I just break my plate?
