Been dating for two years. Started out as friends, kept hanging out more and more, eventually brought up my sexual attraction and emotional attachment. It was reciprocated so we decided to date. After the brief honeymoon phase -3months- our frequency of sex started to wane. I also stopped going to the gym because I moved to a new house with my roommate and picked up other hobbies. Slowly became sexually dissatisfied, though I kept up the blue pill romancing. Bringing her flowers at work every week, taking her out on dates, etc. when my lease ended we decided to move in together. We got a nice place downtown, lots of windows, high quality place. We still do chores on sundays, clean regularly, half all the bills etc etc. but that damn sexual dissatisfaction kept up. So, a couple months ago I took a poll. 6/7 days a week I wanted to break up with her. So I told her one day that I couldn’t give her a lifelong monogamous relationship. After some crying and holding we decided to stay together until the end of our lease -3 months- since neither of us can afford to get a new place currently and bringing people home to your ex is the big suck.

So now our lease is almost over. I’m planning to pursue my career dream and start hitting the gym again. Also recently discovered TRP and have been doing a lot of reading in preparation for when I live alone again.

I will be living in my car for a couple months since I’ll be moving to a new city. I’ve lived in worse situations before so I’m not worried about that. What I’m curious about is, is it possible to remain friends with her after we officially split? We’ve been fucking at the same rate we were before the convo and she’s asking to hold onto my half of the furniture till I get my own place. Mostly so I have to see her again. There’s not any resentment between us and we’ve even been having more passionate sex and conversations about gender incongruity.

What are y’all’s perspectives on this??
