When a conversation starts its all about investment. Humans know there is value somewhere. Looks, status, negative connotations. Its always contextual. And humans rely on sterotypes as it makes decisions easier. Its pre cognitive bias. Scruffy = bad hygeine. Muscles = a hard worker.

When there is a positive reception, one party will offer free information. For example....

Hey im from xyz or i like this sport/hobby. If you get a response theyre invested. Or a girl says this is the first time ive been out in ages. Theyre saying i like this coversation, do you understand what im saying.

Yes theres subtext to analyse but before that its all about investment. If someone doesnt offer free investment of information theres nowhere to go.

What you can do is offer free info, or ask a question to recognise when someone does and work with it.
