Long story short. I have a couple friends that I rarely hang out with, but decided to for the 4th. There were some girls I was hitting it off with who ended up leaving early to be with family, unfortunately I didn't get their numbers, is it lame to go through my friends to get these girls numbers?

My thinking is that I really should have showed the interest earlier and gotten their numbers on my own. Now I can either wait until the next time they're all together and I'm free or just get their numbers from a friend and go from there. Not really opposed to either, just not sure how bad it is for a girl to get a text from a guy who got her number through mutual friends. Been out of the game for awhile, so I feel like me going through a friend has some desperation to it and also shows I didn't man up and ask for their numbers while they were there.
