I'm tired of going to School and "holding back." I'm tired of being assigned projects in Physics and having a group that just wants to do the "bare minimum" to pass. I'm tired of having discussions in Socials class where free speech isn't encouraged and people are essentially group-thinking. I just want to exercise my mind. I know that I'm smart and I can do so much more than this. But for now I am a zombie rotting my brain in what is known as the public education system.

Nobody would think to have certain assignments aimed at teenagers using their creative potential, would they? With the way society is going these days, College is the new high-school and we're basically children; we've got plenty imagination.

At what level of education do people break free from this pragmatism and think "outside" of the box? At what level of education to people stop to question if this is really the way that things are? Get all philosophical and shit? If I enjoy this particular way of thinking, are there certain Majors that you would suggest?

It seems to me like TRP is the only truly unfiltered place left on the internet. It's a shame that we have all of these guys thinking on the same "frequency" but with no way to tune together to talk about these things. That's the problem with the basic: Post Thread --> Read Comments --> Reply.

They penalize me in English class for misinterpreting the text. But what if that's just my interpretation of it? How can we, as humans, evolve when we face pragmatism right from birth?
