I am 26F he is 40M. He does not know about the redpill outside of lurking over my shoulder and the Matrix explanation. For clarity, I was wearing a knee length green dress with a large grey sweater over it, and knee length dress socks with casual shoes. Not bodycon or cutout or tight or shocking. Yesterday we went to eat Chinese food. As we approached the restaurant's port side, there were two fat women sitting on two benches outside who sneered and started talking loudly as soon as I was in earshot. "I guess people just roll outta bed and put on anything these days, huh?" The other woman clucked in agreement and both sneered and gave me elevator glares while using their phones in a camera-like style which freaked me out because I hate being photographed by strangers. "That's fashion now. Oh my god. Oh god, Oh my god." As soon as we walked past them into the foyer, I said "Wow, those women were REALLY rude." My SO says, "Well who cares, not going to let it ruin my dinner." I did not mean to be dramatic needlessly, but my appetite disappeared and I felt sick. We walked to the bathrooms to wash our hands and I asked for a hug because I felt like shit after those women said that. (I wanted to be told that I was beautiful and sexy and good enough to be there with him. A touch or kiss or purposeful stride towards those beasts would have gone miles in increasing my respect for him) He said he didn't know that they were even talking about me and that he thought I was just upset because they were rude in general. He gave me a half assed hug and reminded me that there was a four year old hanging out by the women's bathroom and he didn't want to argue in front of the little girl. I said it's not polite for children to eavesdrop on strangers and that someone should be watching her. (disappeared behind the door after that.) I told him that I was no longer hungry and was disappointed in how the whole thing went down. We left the restaurant and got groceries to cook instead. He blew up at me in the car about how we always have a bad experience at this place and how we'd never go back. I don't think he totally understands how it feels to be teased by strangers on a date and then given no comfort by said date. How should this have been handled to enjoy dinner? Is it just my self-esteem that's fucked here? Should I have spoken back to them? Should he have? By the time we decided to leave, the large women were in their cars and leaving. I didn't tell the management what happened. Thank you for your help.
