Social proof mechanisms for attraction. This is basic Game, actually.

You find a gal to sit down with. Have some basic no pressure fun together, make her laugh, etc. Make eye contact with other gals sitting alone and if they look, smile at them and get back to making the gal you're sitting with laugh, whatever.

Then the next time you see the gals you made eye contact with, approach. Do the same thing.

Women need social proof. It's inherent in their characters. Same as going to a bar or a party and being near a cute girl -- other cute girls notice.

If you had the social proof this wouldn't be an issue. Get involved in organizations, talk to people in your classes, say hi on campus and when passing in the halls.
