One, stop thinking about theoretical stuff. Social validation is knowing that others like you, approve of your actions, and that you have sexual value. If you show that you are attracted to a girl that's validation. If you value yourself based on how others think of you are seeking validation. If you do an action and others give approval that it was the right one, that's validation. If someone shows they are attracted to you then they have validated you, proving beyond your own confidence that you are attractive.

Now I'm not going to tel you how to strip someone of validation because 99% of people including myself would fail to execute it properly. It's called negging and can backfire horrendously. Your best bet is just not giving them anymore validation; refusing to show that you approve of them and their actions. This is done through a level of stoicism, leaving what you think of them a mystery. If they are texting you refuse to show emotion in your responses. If you are talking in person talk to then as if you have zero interest in them. Listen to them, but hesitate to fully engage with them.

Talk to them as you would to some random guy who struck up a conversation with you at a party. You engage just enough as not to seem rude, but the interaction is brief and meaningless.
