Hey guys, so I fucked up pretty bad with a good friend this weekend. I had invited him to go to a concert this weekend, and it was all set to be a great night. I ended up taking an edible and got about 10x higher than I was expecting, and completely dissolved as a functional person. I'm talking I could hardly walk around, and had to leave less than half way through a concert I had been hyping him up for all week and that he drove 2 hours from out of town to see. Complete shit show of a night, living nightmare, I've sworn off marijuana for life.
I feel extremely bad about it. I've never in my life not been able to handle myself like that, and I completely ruined the night and weekend for the both of us. When I woke up the next day still very spacey I sent him a quick message apologizing. I said something along the lines of "I'm really sorry man, that went really bad. I couldn't function and was barely keeping myself from throwing up the entire time." which he read and never replied to.
I feel like shit about it a few days later. If someone did to me what I did, I would probably distance myself from that person, I might even drop them as a friend no contact. It's been a few days and we haven't talked. Should I reach out again, or just leave it for now? There is also a mutual friend who was going to come but had to cancel last minute, and I want to see if he has heard anything but feel like I shouldn't. And I want to apologize and make sure that I didn't ruin a great friendship, but I am not sure if saying something else would be annoying or appreciated.
What would you guys do from either side? Thanks for the help
