There are some decisions where due process is important which generally are those that are for the future. For the other things: What does it really matter what you eat at that moment? If you give the decision a lot of value, it's hard to make. While, many decisions really don't have a life changing result, such as food, what to say to a girl, what to wear etc.. Stop giving it such a high value.. Don't waste your time on that..

Practice being more decisive. Not in high risk situations of course, but with general things. Whether picking food, what to watch, plans to make. People respond to decisiveness because it is something they lack. They respond to decision makers, because they themselves hate the pressure of making decisions. The funny thing is there are plenty of leaders who get shit on for "wrong decisions." They still have plenty of followers and people who trust in them because at the end of the day they get respect for being the leader willing t take on all that responsibility. I mean we are human at the end of the day, so you're always bound to fuck up on some decision. Make quality decisions in genuine things, don't care what other people think, because that is what impedes you from being you. Who cares what others think, how is that really going to affect you in the long run

This is probably going to seem a bit obtuse because it doesn’t directly address the type of indecisiveness you lamented about, but let’s vomit it out anyway.

Let’s consider 4 different tiers of control in decisiveness, depending on the type of situation.

-Pre-Plan things to excruciating detail. Envision beforehand how your day / event should go. All steps known instantly and held confidently.

-Learn to play chess on a short timer. Next 2-3 steps known quickly in a limited evolving situation.

-OODA. Next step known and recalibrated for potentially highly evolving situations.

-Ready Fire Aim. For chaotic situations or scatterbrainedness. Nothing known, throwing something out there, committing to it fearlessly, and making it sound good on the way. Jazz improvisation.

Ideally you’ll be at the top tier, where everything aligns with your pre-planned vision. Ultimate decisiveness. If something throws you off, having the other skills mastered will help you climb the ladder back to your plan.
