tldr How do I start doing things for myself, and care about others less?

I've been reading the red pill since I was 16.

The theories presented and discussed here have proven to be true and valuable throughout the last few years of my life.

Now that I am a freshman in college, and life is actually difficult, it's time for me work and implement the red pill into my life.

A realization I've had in the past few months is that I cannot do things for myself. Mostly everything I do is for the benefit of others.

I exercise so women find me attractive.

I'm pursuing higher education so I can financially take care of those I care about.

Whenever I'm having sex, I'm focused on making sure she has a good time.

A big idea here at trp is accomplishing things for the benefit of yourself. I cannot stick to commitments when I try and do them for me (exercising and eating better, no fap, getting school work done.)

How can I use this mindset to my advantage without falling into blue pill tendencies? Or how can I start looking out for number one, and not feel selfish or guilty that I'm not improving for the sake of others?
