Co worker got mad at me because when we were talking, I said: “men and women are not equal.”

I’ve known this guy for a couple months and he struck me as an open minded older man who wouldn’t mind my opinion, because it’s mine.

Instead, he goes: “you should really pay attention to the year you are in kid!” with the fakest smile that was clearly holding back rage. I triggered him some how and then we started going at it.

I guess his problem with me was that I was making it seem that men are better than women, but that was not what I stated at all.

So we’re arguing and doing our jobs lifting heavy packages. It’s not easy and I just said “fuck it” and dropped it.

We’re cool, but I’m noticing I came off really arrogant.

How do you settle an argument or drop it, with out coming off as arrogant?
