After a couple first dates that didn't open up for second dates, I reflected and realized that I was filling in gaps in conversation too much and not using pauses and teasing as much as I should. I'm not afraid of being silent, but I want to see what others thought.

I'm wondering how much 'pregnant pausing' is too much? (frequency or length)

When is it not appropriate to use extended silence? I realize it's super effective for attracting girls, but maybe not on the initial approach? What about male acquaintances and friends, or coworkers and bosses?
