I'm interested in this girl and she knows it. We've hung out three times before and we've known each other for a while. She got out of a relationship earlier this year and said she likes to take things slow in general, but it didn't stop me from flirting with her and making her laugh.

So, she's flaked on me before but at least offered a reschedule. So, our rescheduled date is coming up but we haven't spoken for a few days. I text her the night before to confirm we're on and that's when she tells me she's stressed, she has so much to do, doesn't know what to do, etc. To me, that sounded like she's canceling without saying it, and/or looking for some weird sympathy. I think, screw that; this was the reschedule she offered because she flaked last time. My thought was, why didn't she tell me earlier and not wait for me to reach out? If I had gone without texting, would she have even shown up? My gut says no.

So, I tell her, "No worries, do whatever you need to do. Maybe I'll see you around" with a stupid smiley face to keep it civil. I feel like usually I would keep chasing or just roll over and take their inconsideration or excuses, but not this time. I really like this girl but obviously, something isn't working. How would you have responded in this situation?
