Humility vs Pride

There is some sort of wisdom in the Laws of Power about how you have to use each in different situations. I would say, if you're in a position of power be humble. There is no advantage in being prideful unless it is self preservation in a situation you are being stepped on/taken advantage of. The best move when that happens is always to walk away.

If done right, they should keep each other in check.

Have enough self respect to be your own man - pride, but know when to take an advice - humility.

You won't be respected - although for different reasons, if you have either too much or too little.

Too much, and people will not like you for thinking that you are better than them (think as you like but....).

Too little and they will just walk over you, because you don't command respect.

Humility is the same.

If you are humble to everybody - regardless wether they deserve it or not, then people will walk over you and think they are better than you.

Be humble with those that deserve it. Like a pupil - who has only seen the well, humbles before a master - who has experienced the ocean. But only with people who TRULY DESERVE IT!!!
