Women like valuable men. Valuable men don't give attention to many girls - only girls who "earn" the attention. If you give too much attention, you have very little value to those girls.

Example:

You sell fruit. Your red apples cost .50 each. Somebody else starts selling fruit across the street. He gives his apples a fancy name and charges .75 each. He sells more apples than you. Why? Because people think his apples are "special" because they are more expensive.

If you care too much, too fast, you lose value. Women like men who don't care so much.
