Don't bother getting a degree in business psychology. If you want to understand people, simply study up on evolutionary psychology and what sort of biases people have. Do this through the internet and books.

If you want to become wealthy you need to know a lot about business and investing. My advice: become an expert in a certain domain. Recognize what sort of problems different types of customers have and then build a solution for those problems. Then build a business around that and grow it over the next few years.

You already have a degree in electrical and computer engineering so you should understand how technology can solve certain problems. You'll also be able to build the product initially which should save money because you don't need to pay others to build it for you.

Study up on everything related to business before you do this. Sales, marketing, accounting, finance, hiring, etc... You can really screw things up so make sure to do this beforehand, don't just start a business and wing it. You can lose a lot of time and money if you screw up.

I would say you can probably get all the additional education you need within the next 2 years. Then start your business and grow it over the next 8 years and you could easily be a multimillionaire within a decade. This is how many tech entrepreneurs do it.

Einstein didn't become a famous scientist because he was taught how to be a famous scientist in school. I'd argue that he pretty much created physics as an academic institution. The degree is just the golden ticket that gets your foot in the door. Most people I know who have degrees and didn't get any practical experience in their field either suck at their job, or wound up working in a totally unrelated field.

Do you see the problem with this statement? It's vague. Think Richard Branson and SpaceShipOne or Elon Musk who formed Tesla Motors. If these guys had formed companies with the express goal of "doing something great!" with no other qualifications, would they have attracted investors? Your time is a precious investment, so don't waste it investing in something aimless. Create your goal first, then work towards it.

You are not your education. You don't need a fancy piece of paper to make it. Get out of that mindset... everyone and their cat has a degree of some type or other... and some of them are working at Starbucks, because their degrees are worthless.

Make something that people want. Or make something of yourself.
