I've never had a problem acting on a whim, I can do the most impulsive things even when I realize how impulsive and irrational the action is. I manage to maintain a stoic aloof persona when I'm not intoxicated but once I am its like I act on all my dark stirred-up emotions. I become gushingly arrogant and only after I've sobered up do I realize how cringy I acted, this may have been damaging to my reputation on several occasions - not adding in the fact that I am already a loner outcast, although somewhat by choice. An example is of my tendency to spew RP truths at friends instead of trying to have normal 'fun' conversations. My hunch is that I subconsciously switch between taking the high ground - because of my RP knowledge - and victimizing myself because of my incapacity to display social finesse. How do I learn to hold my tongue and overcome my deep-rooted need to be 'understood' or paid attention to?
