I went through highschool socially awkward af and never got into social media. The past year I've been working on my game and lifting, and girls have actually started taking the initiative to talk to me. First thing they always ask, "what's your insta?" So many have been visibly confused that I don't have an Instagram account and I didn't think it was such an expectation. But I was talking to some friends and they all recommended I make an account. It never crossed my mind that girls can slide into your dms and you can post flattering pictures of yourself for the public to see. A year ago I wouldn't have the balls to do it but now I'm down. Only problem is everyone else has had the past decade to grow their pages and follower counts to the hundreds and thousands. It's almost like they expect me to have amassed a following but I don't know how I'm supposed to do that unless I start stalking and following kids from my highschool.

Anyways I was rambling but I wanted to ask if anyone thinks making an Instagram account would be advantageous and how much success they've had with it.
