Ok I’m going to try to sum this up as much as possible. I had 4 interviews with a company. I can tell they like me and the recruiter told me they like me.

Originally the recruiter told me the job pays 100-110k. After the interviews the recruiter called me and said they want to offer 90k. I reminded her the original offer was 100-110k. She fumbled around and then agreed to it. I told her I want 110k (willing to accept 105k) and she said that’s too much.

I said I at least need 105k. She called me back and said the location of the job is changing and also the offer stays the same. She gave me the owners number and said I should discuss with him.

I told him I want 105k bc the cost of living is higher (than where I currently live) in one place and the other place is just not a desire able location. He told me no the cost of living isn’t higher. I said thats just what I want.

He focused the conversation on the location and not the pay even though I told him the pay was the main issue. I ended up saying fuck it and telling him “yes I will check out the location myself” meaning drive up there and look.

Although the location is a factor the pay is more important.

I was thinking about writing an email to him, bc I can organize my thoughts better when written down, and telling him that I need 105k to go to either place and that one place is more desirable than the other.

This job is the job that I want the most right now. However, I currently have a stable job and I have 2 other interviews next week. I thought about mentioning that to him.

Like “I want this amount of pay and just so you know I have 2 other interviews”. Or something like that.

What do you think?

This has been a long fucking process for me and I just want to get it over with.
