I have read that abundance mentality can successfully be used in an interview situation but I would like some advice on a particular situation.
I sent in a resume the other day, and the very next morning at approximately 7:50am I received a phone call from a man at the company I applied for which resulted in a 20 minute conversation. He ended up telling me "I am going on vacation for a week, call me on Thursday and we can go get lunch" (as in lunch interview.)
So I called him and he seemed to have forgotten about the situation until I reminded him. I guess that's understandable being that it is the holidays and he took a vacation. I asked him what time would he good for him to meet (as I was instructed to do.) and he responded with "I have a lot of catching up to do so today won't work but I will call you at the beginning of next week". Next week, which was this week, has passed and I did not receive a call.
After reviewing the company profile and the listed benefits (company vehicle, company cell phone, profit sharing, health insurance, oppurtunity for advancement) I've decided I would love a shot to work there.
My question is, since he has not called me but also said "I have your resume" (in a way that made me feel like- don't fuckin call me, I'll call you when I get a fuckin chance.) what would be the best approach in this situation?
I wanted to use the abundance mentality in a way which I am not begging for the job and seem desperate as fuck to leave my current job (which is true plus they canned me anyway) so I would like some rp advice in this situation please.
