So earlier I was in a teams lesson and the teacher was injecting his left wing politics into the lesson. Some of my ‘peers’ (who I’ve only met once or twice as this is a course for 18+ to get into uni) we’re buying into this bullshit. Basically it was to do with criminal rehabilitation and we were giving our opinions and she kept coming out with patronising bullshit passages of text; it was so annoying because I couldn’t even speak so I had to type my responses out. The teacher is a leftist (surprise surprise) so it was basically a circle jerk between him and 2 girls. This made me super angry because I felt like they were taking advantage of the fact I couldn’t actually articulate my words into sentences, face-to-face. In these situations, is it best to stay composed; don’t be agreeable but keep your cool and don’t let it get to your head or is it better to be be direct, imposing and intimidating to try and force their respect.
