Growing up, my dad was deployed a lot so I didn't get to know him all that well until he retired when I was in high school. Now my Dad is an alpha guy, he knows how to talk to people and he knows all about sports, fixing up cars, and lots of typical guy shit. Me? I was being a punk when my Dad tried teaching me about shit like that and even warned me that other guys would think I'm weird if I wasn't into sports. I played video games a fuck ton and while I'm very knowledgeable on DBZ and Megaman I don't know shit about what teams are doing good this season in American football. Unfortunately although I got into lifting religiously a year and half ago and have seen insane progress, my confidence is lower than ever. I now live in Europe and no longer have any close friends. My coworkers and guys that I go out and drink with are ALL sports fanatics, they are always talking about football, golf, MMA, ect. and I have to act like I know what they are talking about. Literally 90% of the guys that I socialize with are into sports. I don't have any problems with sports I just never played much because I was always that scrawny ass kid and even now that I've packed on some muscle I still suck at sports and I don't even know how to properly throw a football.

So back to my original question, how would you be able to learn sports statistics if you literally have no idea where to start? I have an ESPN app on my phone but I'm lost as hell when I go on it and it's undeniable that if you want to get in good with a lot of alpha guys then you will need to learn about sports. Anyone have any insight on this?
