For the last couple months I feel like I've been kind of all by myself. This all happened after my last relationship ended, but nevertheless that's not the reason I stay by myself, I just don't feel like putting effort in making friends or trying to pick up girls.
A little background info: Currently 20 years old, I moved to the US about 3 years ago, left all my friends behind in my home country and moved on to start a new life. I only did Senior year of high school here and made a decent amount of acquaintances (wouldn't really call them friends), I would just hang out with them but I never got too close to them, I never felt like we had that much in common. I got a girlfriend towards the end of the school year and it was nice for a while. We ended up breaking up after a 6 months and I moved on. I got a new job and again, made acquaintances but never really friends. I got a new girlfriend there and again it was good for a while.
Fast forward 8 months things got pretty bad and we broke up. I received a new job offer and I moved on, but again I couldn't really find "friends" or people I could be close to, I just haven't found people whom I feel we have common interests or that I know will contribute in a positive way to my life.
It's not like I feel lonely, beacuse honestly sometimes I enjoy being all by myself, I take care of myself (I work out, I stay well groomed and all the basic stuff), girls often tell me they find me attractive and some people like to be around me, but I find it weird how it's been a while and I haven't really found "friends" or people I can trust and be close with.
What do you guys think?
