"I concur with this. No problem with girls in their 20s. Not even at my best now.

30s is when you start naturally shifting into IDGAF. 40s is when you really, really DGAF anymore.

I have some very pretty girls in their 20s that I could take but I choose not to. I am actually leaving them in orbits... the silent LJBF. Had one tell me she could fall in love with me and I laughed. That was a bit harsh but it shut that talk up. I don't feel the need to advance all of my options and I am fine with keeping a social circle but I don't consider them my friends. A friend is someone you can ask to help solve a problem, and that is admitting need and weakness. I wouldn't go to a woman, especially one in her 20s, to ask for this though they constantly offer it (in a series of annoying bad advices that I try to stop early on when I get to know them).

Hot girls who broke my heart in my 20s are now horrific massive bovines with multiple kids from multiple men. If the brain wasn't shifting into DGAF mode naturally this would be all the confirmation one would ever need to not buy into a declining asset.

Kudos to those men who can find another level to connect with their woman of choice with. I haven't located that in a long time and it drives me batshit insane to deal with the constant need for attention that relationships require.

Spending one week of vacation with a woman and I have had enough of her for months and seriously need some solo time to clear all the noise and bullshit out of my head that comes with being someone's lover/parent/caregiver/decisionmaker/mrfixit/guide ...

Fucking tired of listening to women tell me about how I should take some herbal medicine for concussion induced headaches and some other miracle snake oil bullshit. Tired of hearing all of the illogic.

It's all that crap that piles up over the years that really triggers the IDGAF. So you start wanting them in lower, higher quality doses and you know that if you miss this one, well she has no bright and shining future.

One of these girls I spent time with told me that her parents were still together, her mom spent a lot of time yelling at her dad, and her dad had to spend a lot of social time drinking with guys from the office after work. Her Dad came out as pretty beta and I don't think he was cheating on the wife, just trying to stretch and make it work. His method was:

extend the work day as much as possible to avoid the wife

come home drunk and go to sleep

That gave him 2 days out of the 7 in which he had to deal with the reality of having her there. Which he tried to pluck the best of it possible, and then go back to burying his head in the sand 5 days a week.

The older you get, the more of this shit you pick up from people that you know. The suffering, the fact that marriages that work out involve a lot of pain and constant sacrifice and the wounded look on your friends faces. The divorces you see and know firsthand how bad it is. And then the constant bullshit that comes at you from the direction of relationships and you just realize, you don't want any of that.

That is solid IDGAF fuel and lets you just try to skim the best of what a man/woman relationship can give you off of the top and leave the 90% garbage behind.

That shockingly makes you attractive even as you're 20 pounds over your best weight in your 20s, hair is a bit thinner, definitely grayer. The fact that you have money (or should) and can buy what you want and provide experiences, and have experiences to share other than what band you like also makes you better.

Sexually you learn some shit but physically you'll always decline and that kind of sucks. But every year you feel less like your body is telling you what to do and more that your mind is in control... until the inevitable where your mind will start to go.

I think it is ever so important to swallow the red pill because if you end up going your own way because you can't figure out relationships and never achieve anything interesting to women, you can be forced into a corner and frustrated and unhappy your whole life.

The Truth Shall Set You Free

Yes it shall.

The only freedom is the freedom from desire. ... desire is that which has control over you. The lust for a relationship, the lust for a woman that you can't have, the lust for a car you can't afford, all of this drives you to make bad decisions.

Making yourself eat better, work out, read some good books, sleep better, all of that improves you and these are conscious decisions and not driven by deeper urges. The further you get from the teenage hormones the easier it is to disconnect but you ultimately have to understand that. This is Buddhist philosophy and aligns very well with the red pill in that it's about seeing the world as it is, and seeing yourself as you are. Abundance mentality and getting over oneitis, these are in harmony with freeing yourself from desire.

Choosing then because this one works for you, not because you have to have this one. Making your decisions instead of letting your machinery make them for you. All of this gets better and you can find some more peace if you follow it.

The danger is falling so far into floating down the river that you DGAF about anything in the larger picture and if you disconnect to that point then you can lose purpose and slip a bit. This is another reason why finding things that you like and are enriching to you are important because these are going to be guidelines that will keep you on a good path. The guy who jogs because it's good for him, as long as his knees hold up, he has that for most of his life. Pick the thing that you do, making art, hiking, scuba diving, whatever it is that you find interesting, it makes you interesting but what's more, it keeps you interested in the world and keeping those connections.

Otherwise IDGAF can make you drift away.

Look at a guy like Richard Branson or a guy like DiCaprio. They could drift away. DiCaprio can bang models all day and night but environment is a big and ever growing passion of his and just makes him even more attractive to women. It's not why he's doing it, he's doing it because he thinks its important.

With all his fame, money, good looks, he could just fall into drugs and booze and doing nothing and just disconnecting. So it's something to think about too, enriching who you are keeps you grounded in the world and keeps priorities straight.

Otherwise just focusing on TRP how it applies to women and sex is just like trying to focus on how to eat dessert all day long. If you do this you'll eventually puke when someone puts an ice cream on your table. You'll lose all interest in eating anything. You need a broader scope and make sure to save the ice cream for desert. The main course is you, making yourself better in all ways and making sure you don't throw your interests away for someone else.

The fact that it makes you more attractive to women is like a really beautiful side effect and that makes improving yourself the best medicine in the world."
