I've read and have tried to meditate before but have never been successful with it. I don't really have a problem getting lost in my thoughts it's just that I don't know what to think about. Usually I think about cars, yes automobiles I'm addicted to them, or the other thing I'd think about is my future career and where I want to be professionally. I've been a lurker on here for a while now, and everytime I see a meditation post I simply can't comprehend what to do and why there are so many positives if doing it. I've been lifting for about more than a year now and have made some great improvements. Additionally I have also tried to break out of my approach anxiety by doing one of those plans to lose anxiety. The point is trp has helped me through a lot I've been applying it since the day my older brother introduced me to it ~2 years ago. I know I'm not going to stay young forever I know I still have more to learn and that my process of self improvement will never end. Meditation is a reoccurring idea I see on this subreddit and I believe I need to take advantage of it.

Tldr. What helped you meditate? What methods could you recommend for a newbie to medication to get the most out of it?
