At the end of "Men in Love" Rollo says it's not that men and women love unconditionally, its that they both have different conditions for love. The impression I got from Men in Love is that while women love opportunistically, men want to believe that they can be loved as we want to be loved, and that we have this idealized love that we want but can never have, because women will never get it. I thought this referred to unconditional love on men's part. Could someone explain to me what Rollo means by men having conditionalities for love, and what would those conditionalities be?
