We are told time and time again from family and friends when we break up with our girlfriends in our teenage years and even our early twenties that we don’t need to date right now, we need to discover ourselves first. I believe there is some truth to this, per se having plates and figuring out what good ones and bad ones there are and might settle with IF ever/ going Monk Mode. Seeing your true potential and adventuring, taking risks and making the most of life without being tied down are other potential benefits. But could it be this is (if you a will) a second hand buffer passed off. Your family/friends understands you are alone now, and want to make you feel comfortable given your position. The same could be said for monk mode. A man can declare he is going monk mode to make gains and improve his mind. All while (whether subconscious or conscious) avoiding regret thus making it a buffer? What are your opinions on avoiding dating after a breakup or going Monk Mode, whist truly identifying if it’s monk mode/ focusing on yourself or not due to (in some cases) the upset feeling after. Any feedback is appreciated, thank you.
