I've recently started reading "Practical Female Psychology For the Practical Man", by Joseph South, David Clare and Franco. What I have noticed while reading Practical Female Psychology, is that they strongly dissociate between low self-esteem (LSE) and high self-esteem (HSE) women. After having read both "The Rational Male" and "The Rational Male Preventive Medicine", by Rollo Tomassi and having internalized their main ideas, I have a hard time accepting the new ideas of Practical Female Psychology. While, as I understand, Rollo Tomassi claims all women are motivated by hypergamy, Joseph, David and Franco argue that LSE women "will now typically disqualify themselves from a relationship with you, because they start to recognize that they do not deserve a relationship with the man of your calibre" and usually exhibit self-destructive behavior. I'm torn between these two opposing ideas, on one hand wanting to accept Tomassi's theory because it makes sense from a purely reproductive standpoint, and on the other hand tilting towards Practical Female Psychology's belief, which makes sense from a psychological point of view for people with low self-esteem generally have a negative outlook on the world, are envious of people with higher self-esteem and suspicious of people having ulterior motives.

Which theory do you guys think makes more sense?
