First month in an Asian country, studying language in a medium size university. Most of the student are from other countries.

My 2 friends No.1 and No.2 added this random girl (Lu) using a chat app. She was giving IoI to No.1, while No.2 wasn't too interested had a brief chat with her. Late that night we getting drunk, No.1 asking her for boobs or fk off. I am there laughing because the girl takes it too serious, asking if he hates her and why he is being so impolite, start demanding an apology. No.2 sends a picture of the 3 of us, she is surprised that No.1 and No.2 were friends. She makes a chat group with our contacts (No.2 adds me), and tell us to meet her and apologize. We cant fucking believe it, and just start sending voice notes saying fk off and random stuff (i did not send anything).

Next day after we partied all night, she ask where are we. We deliberate about it thinking this must be a joke, and tell her where we are. For our surprise she is standing right in front of us before we leave, she ask why we asked for her boobs, and why we were so impolite with her. We were amazed hearing those words coming out of her mouth, she was dead serious.

We explain her that we were fucking around, that it was all a joke, we do this every time in our countries (the 3 of us from different places). She doesn't understand it, and start talking about her feelings blablabla. "We are not going to apologize for something like this" then i leave them and go to a small shop.

I get out of the shop, look back and they are still there, but with another female. It seems No.1 and Lu were friends of Mo. Lu doesn't know much English, and ask Mo with the local language why we sent all that shit last night. Mo laugh while reading the chat, and then look at us telling us that we were so rude with Lu, we should apologies.

We start arguing, if she really did not like the shit we were sending, she should just tell us to shut the fk up and block us all, but she insisted to meet us. Mo start comparing Lu situation with a guy being beaten in the street every day. We give her a wtf in unison, how the fk you compare that. She start talking about victim blaming, equality, sexism.

I can understand a little of the local language, and hear Lu proposing to take this matter to the directive of the university, then she leaves. She have our photo, chat history, names and both of my friends nationality information.

I was tired, 2 hours of sleep, too many beers last night, and i am hearing all this. After reading so much about SJW in TRP I snap, tell her that she is using an argumentative fallacy comparing those 2 scenarios. Ask her if people from this country really learn this kind of shit about sexism and equality and tell my friends to stop arguing because is a waste of time. She turns red, and tell us she has something to do and leaves.

30 min after No.1 tells me this Mo girl helps the administration in the U, and she knows a lot of people in campus, and Lu knows a lot of people too, they both are well connected. I go full damage control and start thinking of the possible implications of being accused with all the shit we sent her. And lets not forget about the social reputation. I explain this to my friends, and we text Lu apologizing for all this and she should tell Mo that this matter is solved, she accepts it.

Now my problem is with Mo, i called on her shit, shamed her, i am pretty sure she hates me now. I am preoccupied about the social repercussions, not about what she thinks of me.

What can i do now?

Did we took the right decision to apologize?

Am i just thinking too much about the matter?
