17yo. Been lifting over a year. When I first found TRP I was under the impression that lifting would benefit me greatly in terms of confidence, but yet I still remain the pussy I am. People from school think I'm extremely extroverted, however, that is only because I am really comfortable with everyone there. I tend to be a 'clown' at school, the guy that always makes people laugh, sometimes I say dumb shit. I am basically on a platonic level with every girl in my class. I've had one girlfriend, my body count is 1, other than that, I have no other experience.

After discovering TRP, I have detracted from my clown personality at school and have become quieter for whatever reason, people tell me I'm not as funny as I used to be or loud as I used to be. I'm more reserved and keep to myself more.

As a kid and up until now, I've had extremely overprotective parents - they had conditioned me from an early age to believe that talking to girls is wrong, they would embarrass me and I had always been a shy kid that got bullied. I would also often get insulted by my family - I'd get called stupid, my good grades were never good enough and my bad or mediocre grades defined me. I could never reach my parents' standards, even now I am seen as a pussy by them. My dad always tells me I'm not man enough.

When it comes to meeting people I am not familiar with - girls and guys alike, I overthink. What if they don't like me? What if I say something dumb? What if they think I'm dumb? It has gotten to the point when whenever I am out in public, or meeting with people I'm not familiar with I can't eat without throwing up due to the anxiety. When I'm at a party I get the biggest palpitations. I overthink like crazy. My friends knew a group of 8s and left me alone with 3 of them, I didn't say a word to them. I just looked away and pretended as if they weren't there.

My self-esteem is low due to my physical insecurities such as having a big distracting nose (willing to PM pictures if needed.) My friends always bag me about it. I'm always looking at it's side profile and feel disgusted. Everyone says it suits my face and I don't need a nose job. I find myself always looking at myself and comparing myself to other guys on social media etc. I'm also insecure about being stupid, as that's what people see me as - my family and friends. How do I improve my personality? How can I fix my issues? How can I work on my inner game? I've been told that MMA could help me and strengthen my frame, whilst also developing confidence. Is this a good option?
