The point of the "Breaking free: Activity" is to put your thoughts on paper at first in order to visualize them or to act up and see the reactions around you without having your subconscious brushing them off as normal behaviour since as the author says, come mostly from childhood memories.

Almost like a therapist does when he listens to his patients. Only difference is that you are supporting yourself by looking at your thoughts from a third-person's point of view and therefore can analyze and see where your behaviours sprouted from.

I'm also reading it and about half through. After finishing it I will copy them out and will try to the ones that look plausible and doable to me, because no one will be 'the mr nice' who has all the problems mentioned in the book.
