Nota you did well. Now regarding spending consider this.

Girls will put you in a box, depending on how you treat them. The most important boxes are the "fun" box and the "boyfriend" box.

If you do more things to trigger the fun box you will get to sex easier and much faster. She will not expect you to stop dating others, nor will she stop dating others. She will not give you drama and will not expect you to pay for her grandmothers cancer treatment. In short this is a friend-with-benefits or fuckbuddy relationship.

If you do things like dinner. Go to a movie. Buy her drinks. She will put you in the "potential boyfriend" box. This is more serious to her. She will make you wait for sex. When you date others she will give you drama. If you dont respond to her text for a day or two you will receive drama. In short you are on the road into a real relationship. One day she might be the mother of your children.

If you are after a relationship of any kind, it does not hurt to be "a good guy and gentleman".

If you are after the fastest time from 1st date to lay you better turn down the "good guy" and bring out the "reckless jerkboy asshole".

I do prefer the asshole type by default because it is natural to me AND it is easy to go from asshole to "sometimes he has a heart of gold" and upgrade her. The other way around does not work so well.

Unfortunately, it's culturally ingrained in us that the man has to pay for dates. Women know what you want from them. Attractive women especially are accustomed to having men pay for them. Not paying separates you from the pack. Buying drinks for your buddies is MUCH different than buying drinks for a girl. Men understand that you worked for that money you spent on those drinks so they reciprocate because they're your friends and they respect you. That may, or may not, be the case with some women. Especially be wary if you have a job title that may lead people to assume you have money. Most dates will expect that you pay with no intention or reciprocating. It's not about who can afford what, it's about who's worth spending your hard earned money on.

Please invest your money in a retirement vehicle (401k, IRA, Roth IRA). When that is maxed out set up a brokerage account and do likewise. Save for an asset like a rentable property. Do not spend excess cash on bar tabs and the like. Pay yourself and live like you did when you were broke. You'll be just as happy.

I reread your post. It looks like your priorities are in order. Just be cool about it.
