I'm sure I could ask this in the personalfinance or financialindependence subs but wanted to get this advice from those who are redpill and financially successfully as well. I know not getting married is the 100% safest route but for the purposes of the post just assume you were going to.

How does one successfully protect assets acquired pre-marriage? I've seen threads on TRP mentioning prenups are no longer 100% (probably never were), and other techniques dont really work out either. I dont have enough to justify a trust as it seems it costs a few thousand to set up and then there are ongoing fees as well.

One option that I thought was smart and pretty simple was to simply transfer the asset into a family members name that you trust. If you don't own it, it cant be taken from you.

Would be interested to hear about real estate specifically.
